Goodfolks is a restaurant in Georgetown, Texas that specializes in elevated southern comfort food. As a member of the in-house creative team for a new restaurant group, there were always plenty of opportunities to expand my design, copywriting, and marketing skills. I was charged with creating digital assets, making social media posts, writing emails, building the website, and designing print collateral like menus, signage, and internal paperwork. I enjoyed the collaboration, problem-solving, and scrappiness required when working for a small business!

Goodfolks Website

Small businesses are changing all the time, so having a website that is modular and easily updated is essential! While building this website, I strived to reflect the clean and casual feel of the restaurant. The photos are bright, the food looks delicious, and the blocks of colors and images cleanly break up the layout into bite-sized pieces!

About

Goodfolks Social Media

I was tasked with taking every tasty pic and writing every clever caption. I had the most fun making reels, my first dip into short-form video content. My goal was to remain consistent in tone from posts, to comments, to reviews. Never underestimate the power of a strong brand voice!

Goodfolks Menus

A restaurant must have a menu that is easy to navigate! Between lunch specials, drink specials, and brunch specials, it can start to get confusing if you’re not careful! That’s why we chose to change color and size from menu to menu, so servers always know they’re reaching for the right one!

Red Poppy Festival 2022

Georgetown is the Red Poppy Capital of Texas, and every April they celebrate these beautiful flowers with the Red Poppy Festival on the Town Square, right in front of Goodfolks. To celebrate, I designed and hand-painted the front windows with my best poppy puns!
